Mabbissu dance is a bissu dance which means sacred or powerful. The dancers are called bissu because no menstruation, no bleeding, or sacred. It said it did not bleed because Bissu immune to sharp weapons, was unable to penetrate the dagger, machete or hot lead. In every ritual, the bissu always show their magic in the form of dance called Mabbissu dance or Mabbissu.

Mabbisu dance is usually performed by six major Bissu led by chairman Bissu. The Sixth Bissu dress up like a woman with golden-colored clothing and a dagger at the waist. After all the preparations are ready, to the accompaniment of a typical rhythmic drum beat, the dancers chanting mystic spells strains To Rilangi language (the ancient language of the Bugis) while dancing around the Arajangnge. Arajangnge is an object believed to be a sacred and ancestral spirits beristihat. In front Arajangnge it has prepared various offerings of traditional Bugis pastries, fruits, chicken and buffalo and cow's head as an offering to their ancestors.

Maggiri 'this is the pinnacle of mabbissu dance, where their bodies pierced with a dagger. At the time of this maggiri movement exhibited, visitors will be amazed and astonished to watch the Bissu pierced hands and their throats with a dagger pointed and sharp, but it does not leave scars in the slightest, though pressed repeatedly with a vengeance. Most of the visitors who attended the event, not only to witness the spectacular performances of dance, but have also come to ask for the blessing of the Bissu.

Mabbissu performances are often held in the Village Assaurajang, District Segeri, District Pangkajene Islands (Pangkep), South Sulawesi Province.
